Role: Front End Developer/Designer (Umbraco CMS)
Location: Southampton (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (35-hour week)

About the Company:
I am recruiting a Front End Developer/Designer (preferably with Umbraco CMS skills) for a specialist leisure/recreational activity business. This is a hybrid role based in Southampton, working in their head office two days per week. The company is a well-established leisure organization in the UK, with 150 years of history and a prominent sports team.
Your New Role:
You will manage all front-end aspects, combining development and design skills to ensure a clean, on-brand user experience. Your responsibilities include overseeing design support, page builds, content edits, UI/UX best practices, website accessibility, customer journeys, performance enhancements, and documentation of front-end processes. You will report to the Head of Digital, lead web projects and digital campaigns, and manage a Junior Designer initially. There is potential for progression to a Lead position.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of commercial experience in Front End Development/Design.
* Experience with Umbraco CMS or similar platforms like Drupal or WordPress.
* Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
* Experience in UX/UI Design, responsive design, web accessibility, Adobe Creative Suite, and Technical SEO principles.
