The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help deliver high-quality learning experiences. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis
Assisting with the delivery of lessons and targeted interventions
Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH where appropriate
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation
Supervising pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children
Has experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential)
Is committed to inclusion and supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
Works well as part of a team and takes initiative
Communicates clearly and professionally
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
