Overview
Field Service Technician — £34K basic salary + benefits. An experienced field service Technical Specialist is required for an established and growing ethical supplier of disability scooters and recliner chairs.
Responsibilities
* Be the central point of expertise for all technical and product-related queries across the business.
* Diagnose product issues and advise engineers accordingly.
* Liaise with suppliers on technical improvements and support customer service with troubleshooting.
* Support stock management, quality assurance, warranty claims, and related administration as part of field operations.
* Repair scooters and chairs in customers\' homes, delivering high levels of empathy and customer service.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Technical background (engineering, mobility, automotive, electrical repair) with strong organizational, solutions-focused, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the north of the UK (from Aberdeen to Manchester), visiting 3–4 customers per day, 4 days a week.
* 5th day typically spent in the Newcastle warehouse managing stock levels, ordering replacement items, and related administration.
* Clean driving licence preferred (policy allows some consideration with up to 3 penalty points).
* Right to work in the United Kingdom.
