(Part time) Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased)
Wessex Galvanizers Ltd, Eastleigh, SO50 6NZ – part of the Wedge Group Galvanizing. 14 sites nationwide. Role of part‑time Maintenance Engineer to support plant and equipment operation at the Wessex site.
What’s the role?
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
- Operate safe working practices within the work environment.
- Maintain regulatory compliance of equipment and facilities.
- Undertake maintenance operations at site.
- Input required information into the Engineering Management System.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and fault‑finding activities.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and resolve related issues.
Who would suit this role?
Candidates should have experience in an engineering role and hold electrical installation and testing qualifications; electrical maintenance qualifications will be considered. The role suits someone organised, self‑motivated, a team‑player, conscientious, with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, good communication and cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders. Experience with overhead cranes/hoists is beneficial.

Hours
20 hours per week, 09:00 to 13:00 Monday to Friday inclusive.
