We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist SEN school in Rugeley, Staffordshire. This is a full-time position starting in February 2026, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development by:

Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with diverse SEN needs
*
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, accessible, and differentiated lessons
*
Adapting resources and strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
*
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement with learning
*
Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality support
The Ideal Candidate
* Are graduates or soon-to-be graduates (all degree disciplines considered)
*
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential, as training will be provided)
*
Are patient, resilient, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to inclusive education
*
Are proactive team players with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
