An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join a successful sales team covering the Yorkshire region (Barnsley - Sheffield - York). In this client-facing role, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value commercial accounts across sectors such as agriculture, transport, and industrial heating. Balancing on-the-road relationship building with strategic account development, this is a great position for a results-driven professional.
This is a home-based role, giving you the flexibility to manage your own diary, with typically no more than one or two days a week at their office in Louth
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (including car allowance) plus an uncapped quarterly bonus and access to comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of key commercial, agricultural, and industrial accounts across the Yorkshire region
Drive revenue, volume, and margin growth through pricing strategies, upselling, and customer loyalty initiatives
Identify and convert new business opportunities to exceed regional sales targets
Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual client meetings to strengthen relationships and understand customer needs
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent service, minimise churn, and improve overall customer experience.
Support and mentor Account Executives, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
You’ll inherit a portfolio of loyal, high-value accounts in the region, while also being encouraged and rewarded for spotting new opportunities to expand your territory.
Skills & Experience:
Proven field-based sales and key account management experience, ideally within commercial or industrial sectors.
Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated, resilient, and proactive in identifying growth opportunities.
Confident working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced sales environment.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
