Velox Social Care are recruiting Level 5 (Or working towards) qualified residential childcare professionals to support children’s residential homes across Bradford and surrounding areas on an ad-hoc and flexible basis.
This opportunity is ideal for Registered Managers, Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, or experienced senior residential practitioners who hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (working towards or equivalent) and are looking for flexible agency work alongside their existing roles.
You will be carrying out ad-hoc monitoring or support visits to solo placements to ensure high-quality care, professional oversight, and safeguarding for Children and Young People (CYP) in the settings.
Key Responsibilities whilst Quality Monitoring & Oversight Duties
*
Supporting homes to maintain high standards of care and compliance
*
Observing staff practice and professionalism within the home
*
Ensuring staff are actively engaging with young people and delivering appropriate care
*
Checking cleanliness, health & safety, and potential risks within the property
*
Engaging with young people to ensure they feel safe, supported and well cared for
*
Medication checks to ensure accurate recording and stock levels
*
Supporting with planning essential tasks such as food shopping where required (e.g. where a young person has restrictions such as DoLS and cannot attend)
*
Reporting any concerns or improvement areas to management teams
*
Providing feedback and reporting any concerns to the relevant management teams through detailed reports and scheduled teams meetings.
Shifts & Flexibility
We offer flexible ad-hoc shifts depending on service requirements. Flexibility is essential as placements may require both long and short shift patterns.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Management (Working towards or equivalent)
*
Experience working within residential children’s homes
*
Right to Work in the UK
*
3 References (2 professional, 1 character)
*
In-date physical intervention (or willingness to undertake Team Teach training)
*
Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
