We are seeking an experienced Designer's Site Representative (DSR) with a background in highways to support the park and ride element of the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and implementation of the park and ride facilities, ensuring that design and construction align with the project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
The role requires strong experience in highways infrastructure, as well as expertise in liaising with multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and problem-solving on-site issues related to design and construction.
This is a full-time contract position that falls OUTSIDE IR35 based in Suffolk 5 days per week. Expenses can be discussed at application stage.
Skills and Qualifications:
·Proven experience as a Designer's Site Representative (DSR) or in a similar role, with specific experience in highways or transport infrastructure projects.
·Strong understanding of highways design principles, construction practices, and relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
·Excellent knowledge of transportation planning, including park and ride systems, traffic management, and integration with wider public transport networks.
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
·Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the nuclear, energy, or civil engineering sectors.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, including contractors, local authorities, and transport providers.
·A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to address challenges and implement solutions quickly.
·Strong quality assurance focus, with experience in conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Desirable Qualifications:
·Relevant engineering degree or vocational qualifications in civil engineering, highways, or construction management.
·Chartered status or equivalent professional recognition.
·Experience working on nuclear or energy-related infrastructure projects.
