This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals.

About the role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support the Care team in delivering high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Monitoring residents' wellbeing and updating care plans accordingly.
* Participating in person-centred care planning and evaluations.
* Supporting residents with medication.
* Supporting staff development through supervisions.
* Being a key contact for residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals, addressing requests and concerns.

About you

To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.

Our ideal candidate must:

* Hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
* Be effective in verbal and written communication.
* Possess a positive attitude towards supporting residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to responsibilities.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, with at least 2 years' experience in a similar setting. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.

This role is subject to a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, to screen for any criminal convictions.
