Behaviour Mentor
Location: Lancaster, Morecambe & Heysham
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full‑time
Pay: £13.75–£14.50 per hour
Local primary schools are seeking committed and resilient Behaviour Mentors to provide targeted support to pupils presenting behavioural challenges. This role involves working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to deliver structured interventions that promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver short‑term behaviour interventions to identified pupils
* Provide consistent 1:1 and small‑group support
* Assist pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies
* Work collaboratively with SEN and pastoral teams
* Follow whole‑school behaviour and safeguarding protocols
Ideal Candidate
* Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs
* Confident in delivering structured behavioural support
* Calm, patient and professional under pressure
* Able to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
