Main purpose
Support the ME plans on existing and new production lines. Support ME Improvement objectives by analysis of lost time and Problem solving analysis or any other Quality related losses.
Job objectives
Quality
* Utilise all allocated resources within your control effectively at all times.
* Participate in daily Production and Project related planning. On sites (22 Birmingham Rd), Head Office (No. 14 Lincoln Rd.), 31 Lincoln Rd.).
* Strategically revising resources deployment to support meeting ME improvement targets.
* Propose support and document most cost effective improvement strategies with timings to achieve improvement objectives.
* Ensure Tooling, Jigs, Fixtures meet requirements to meet quality requirements.
Manufacturing
* Support in closing off Tooling related Problem Solving Activities.
* Continuous improvement on tools, jigs and checking fixtures.
* Ensure Design Standards are adhered to and aligned to design standards.
* Using experience from previous developments and past experiences, all design modifications are to be kept up to date according to the best practice of the organization.
* Ensure 5S condition is sustained and improvement activities planned and tracked.
* Measure and follow up on all 5S improvement activities to ensure 5S is sustained.
Delivery
* Support in closing off Tooling related Problem Solving Activities.
* Analyze 2D drawings.
* Analyze 3D CAD data.
* Using internally developed processes that adhere to the design requirements of the Customer, the manufacturing process and the design standard of the organization.
* Analyze data received from Tooling suppliers.
* Support in trial activities.
* Involved in new & current Projects. Ensure Project implementation complies with agreed to timing and cost parameters.
* Evaluation and mitigation of RISK.
* Improve design of dies, punches that require repair or replacement.
* Responsible for teams’ attendance to ensure that the company target is met (Since the role is to support production, your team’s attendance is vital for the successful running of the plant).

Job Specification
Technical skills and specialist knowledge
* Knowledge of MS Office.
* Knowledge of problem-solving tools.
* Knowledge of the Ramsay Manufacturing Excellence system.
* Risk based thinking.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Experience
* 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Maintenance / Design of Machinery & Tooling.
Qualifications
* Grade 12 (Critical).
