Job Description:
We are currently working in partnership with a reputable support organisation based in the West Midlands, recruiting for an Assistant Head of Service to join their passionate and driven team on a permanent basis. The salary for this position is £36,050 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a complex needs service, access to their own vehicle, and the ability to liaise with external stakeholders.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Supporting, guiding, managing, and developing the team to achieve customer and service goals
* Ensuring all association accommodation is maintained as a safe and pleasant environment for tenants
* Managing and monitoring the service for cost efficiency and value for money
* Administering occupancy agreements, including tenancy terminations where necessary
* Providing practical support and counseling on housing, employment, finance, cultural needs, social and personal issues, education, hygiene, and health care
* Handling safeguarding and health and well-being concerns for customers and staff
* Maintaining rotas and ensuring effective scheme management
* Conducting property audits, providing remedial solutions, and reporting to management
* Monitoring team performance through appraisals, audits, training, and inductions
Experience required:
* Managing a team within a Homeless Support service
* Working with vulnerable clients and mediating complex situations
* Monitoring health, safety, and safeguarding concerns in line with regulations and policies
Skills, knowledge, and expertise required:
* Strong communication skills
* Up-to-date knowledge of Homelessness and Housing legislation
* Self-motivated

Working hours:
