Overview
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director the Senior Manufacturing Technician will be part of the senior manufacturing team and lead technicians on a range of manufacturing activities. This will include the manufacturing tolerances for robotic hardware builds and testing, relevant documentation, and manufacturing process documentation. Processes would adhere to required safety and compliance standards, and a key responsibility will be that builds will be consistently delivered to high specifications. As the company look to deliver their next-generation autonomous robotic system, manufacturing and product delivery is of paramount importance and focus for the company.
Responsibilities
* Lead technicians on a range of manufacturing activities, including adherence to tolerances for robotic hardware builds and testing.
* Ensure completion of relevant documentation and manufacturing process documentation.
* Ensure processes comply with required safety and regulatory standards and that builds meet high specifications.
Requirements
* Demonstrable manufacturing experience in low-volume, high-value engineering products involving electromechanical components (ideally within robotics).
* Experience in a supervisory capacity of 2 to 6 people, including recruiting and managing a team.
* Good communication and problem solving skills, including evidence of adaptability and understanding complex engineering.
* Ability to deliver to deadlines.

* The role will require close contact with suppliers and manufacturing partners, so building relationships is important. Travelling to partners is required, so applicants should have a valid driving licence and their own vehicle.
