Responsibilities:
5. Lead governance activities to align with organisational goals and compliance requirements.
6. Manage and advise on governance structure and best practises, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory bodies.
7. Oversee data protection matters, implementing strategies in line with UK GDPR.
8. Support the EDI Committee in executing the College's external EDI plan.
9. Develop and maintain internal governance systems, policies, and processes.
10. Manage committee business effectively, ensuring timely decision-making.
11. Lead and develop a high-performing Governance team.
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
12. Significant experience in governance within a membership or not-for-profit setting.
13. Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders on governance-related strategic decisions.
14. Strong knowledge of data protection, information governance, and relevant laws.
15. Experience in leading high-performing teams.
16. Excellent attention to detail and formal writing skills.
17. Ability to influence and maintain the confidence of senior stakeholders.
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
18. Understanding of commercial development impacts within a non-profit context.
19. Experience with equality and diversity law and practises.
20. Familiarity with the governance of formal meetings.
Technologies:
21. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
22. Familiarity with governance management software is a plus.
