When you become part of our tax team, you’ll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. We work with owner managed businesses, private equity backed enterprises and global companies, managing their tax affairs both on the compliance side and in relation to additional advisory matters. Our transactions tax specialists provide a variety of services, such as tax due diligence reviews (buy-side and sell-side), advice relating to private equity and similar structures, vendor assistance, and management tax planning.
As a result of consistent growth, increased client demand and high-profile M&A Tax appointments, we are looking to make an addition to our national transactions tax faculty at the Associate Director level. You will work closely with a regional transactions tax partner and contribute significantly to the future development and success of our transactions tax offering. You will have high levels of responsibility and manage a variety of interesting projects across different industries.
Operating closely with our corporate finance department and utilizing RSM's international network, you will be at the forefront of Transactions Tax advisory work. The base office for this role can be flexible, with a preference for Birmingham.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Managing a variety of M&A tax projects.
* Delivering tax structuring advice pre- and post-transaction to provide tax-efficient solutions for clients.
* Writing technical descriptions of client projects for reports.
* Supporting strategic targeting and business development, especially in private equity, in collaboration with the Transactions Tax Partner.
* Being a strong people manager, involved in training and career development through coaching, formal training, and performance discussions.
* Researching and preparing proposals for new work, and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
What we are looking for:
Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can identify inefficiencies and are passionate about improvement, this role is ideal for you!
We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate:
* Is CTA or ATII qualified, or holds an equivalent, preferably with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
* Has significant experience at Manager, Senior Manager, or Associate Director level.
* Has excellent knowledge of Transactions Tax, either as a specialist or a Corporate Tax professional.
* Has proven client handling and project management skills, with experience in building relationships.
* Has business development experience or interest.
* Embraces an inclusive approach to team development, providing opportunities and managing performance actively and supportively.
What we can offer you:
We recognize our people as our most valuable assets. Our flexible reward and benefits package includes:
* 27 days holiday (with options to purchase additional days).
* Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing benefits, including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access.
* Access to over 300 on-demand courses developed by our talent development team.
