My client is an established engineering company that specialises in delivering high-quality projects for a number of Teir 1 clients, and they have a requirement for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a long term basis.\n\nOutside IR35 + £550/ 600 a shift + Weekly Payments + Long Term works\n\nThey seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a large engineering project which is scheduled to run for a number of years.\n\nThis role is well-suited to someone who has taken a lead role in delivering large scale projects to the value of £30 - 40m.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will work on this one project liaising closely with the project team in place and taking full responsibility of the commercials as they start to put in place the contracts.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Assist at the tender stage to identify commercial risks and advise on risk management strategies.\n\n * Support the preparation of monthly forecast workbooks, sales plans, project reviews, and financial reports, including debt collection.\n\n * Conduct a thorough review of order documentation to ensure compliance with tender documents.\n\n * Attend meetings and contract finalisation.\n\n * Prepare and issue order acknowledgements for projects as required.\n\n * Preparation of sub-contract orders, including issuing payment and pay-less notices in line with contractual terms.\n\n * Conduct reviews with sub-contractors to assess accounts and performance.\n\n * Regularly update the finance system to ensure accurate financial management of projects.\n\n * Work alongside the operations team to prepare applications for payment and invoices, ensuring senior team review prior to client submission.\n\n * Ensure payment notices are received in line with contractual terms and assist with debt collection when necessary.\n\n * Prepare and issue all necessary contractual notices in accordance with contract requirements, managing loss and expense claims and extension of time requests.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Someone who has already got experience as a Senior Quantity Surveying\n\n * Solid experience in the construction or engineering industry\n\n * Good communications skills\n\n * Good IT skills\n\n * Able to work independently and as a team\n\nDetails are as follows: Outside IR35 + £550/ 600 a shift + Weekly Payments + Long Term works\n\nIf this role sounds of interest, please send your CV or contact Simon on the details attached.\n\nKeywords: Quantity Surveyor // Senior Quantity Surveyor // Engineering
