Job information: Events Manager at Old Town Chambers, Autograph Collection, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. The Hotels involved include The Edinburgh Grand and Old Town Chambers, soon to be rebranded under Marriott International (The Luxury Collection and Autograph Collection). This is a leadership role focused on driving business growth for corporate, group, and leisure clients and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
* Report to the Director of Sales and drive business growth for two iconic Edinburgh properties.
* Develop and nurture strategic, long-term relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and key decision-makers; collaborate with Marriott's global sales teams to expand reach.
* Act as an ambassador for the properties, highlighting their unique offerings and the luxury positioning within The Luxury Collection and Autograph Collection by Marriott.
* Collaborate across internal hotel teams and global luxury brand teams to deliver seamless client experiences from inquiry to execution.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and keep the properties at the forefront of Edinburgh’s 5-star hospitality landscape.
* Craft bespoke proposals and packages for corporate clients, event planners, and group bookings; leverage Marriott Bonvoy to build guest engagement and repeat business.
* Analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and client feedback to inform strategic decisions and align with business objectives.
* Represent the brand at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings, upholding RBH and Marriott standards.
* Collaborate with the Director of Sales and RBH central sales hub and Marriott network to optimize local sales strategies.
* Exceed sales targets through innovation and development of new revenue streams while delivering exceptional client value.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sales & events within the hospitality industry, ideally in the luxury market.
* Strong relationship-building skills with a client-focused approach.
* Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals beneficial to clients and the business.
* Results-driven with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
* Understanding of financial metrics and the impact of sales strategies on business performance.
* Proficient in sales and CRM software with a data-driven mindset.
* Passionate about showcasing Edinburgh and its unique hospitality offerings.
* Proactive, innovative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces new ideas.
