What you’ll be doing
?
1. Media Relations and PR: Assist in maintaining high-value relationships with journalists and other contacts across travel (consumer media) with excellent and timely communications at all times.
2. Day-to-day responsibility for responding to media queries and journalist alerts
3. Generate ideas and write press/media releases for distribution to align with business priorities, e.g. programme launches, new destinations and booking trends as directed by Acquisition Marketing Manager
4. Support media interviews/ speaking engagements, with logistics and preparing briefing notes for key team members
5. Support the organisation of media trips, working with suppliers to gain positive coverage and co-ordinating with internal teams for organising any travel as well as post trip follow up to ensure brand coverage is maximised
6. As required, attending media networking events and representing Kuoni brand
7. Performance Monitoring: Tracking media coverage, working with monitoring agency and circulating media coverage internally. Measuring and reporting activity performance vs. success criteria, sharing that performance with the Senior Brand and Acquisition Manager and Acquisition Marketing Manager.
8. Partnership Marketing Planning: Working with the Acquisition Marketing Manager to develop partner contribution (tourist boards, hotel partners & airlines) marketing proposals to make the optimal usage of that contribution aligned to the overall marketing calendar, co-ordinating with all channel managers
9. Partnership Campaign Delivery: Work with channel managers to execute partner marketing activity ensuring all teams are fully briefed on activity. Brief studio/content to ensure compelling partner campaigns that will appeal to our target audiences, and compile post campaign performance reports.
10. Consumer Events: Support all aspects of event planning and logistics, for large scales travel exhibitions and brand events including stand design and build, event logistics, promotional activity, working closely with the Marketing and PR Manager and other key stakeholders in our retail, sales and product teams.
11. Budget Monitoring: Assist in managing the PR, partnerships & events budget, ensuring effective allocation, and tracking of spend.
12. Team and Stakeholder Collaboration: Build relationships with stakeholders across the marketing team, retail, trade and product.
13. Agency Liaison: Develop effective partnerships with relevant agencies, prioritising timely briefings and proactive planning to maximize efficiency, optimize return on investment.
14. Marketing & Campaign Activity Support: Support the Brand and Acquisition team as agreed with Senior Brand and Acquisition Manager and Acquisition Marketing Manager on activity across all areas, ensuring flexibility and collaboration. Activity includes (but is not limited to) email marketing, direct mail, campaigns and trade. Help manage the operational aspects of campaign management, ensuring compliance with brand and legal standards.
15. Financial responsibility: Manages project budgets as allocated by the Marketing Manager.
16. Other ad-hoc administrative and planning duties as required.
You will have
Essential
17. Experience in a Marketing and PR role, either agency or in-house
18. Excellent writing skills
19. Experience of managing marketing campaigns from inception through to final delivery and performance analysis.
20. Analytical skills for assessing campaign performance.
21. Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver tasks on brief and to time.
22. Event Management experience
23. Great interpersonal and communication skill
24. Ability to communicate efficiently both verbally and written
25. Confident networking with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable
26. Background in marketing within the travel sector, preferably with premium or luxury brands.
27. Interest in travel and leisure trends
