We're working with one of the UK's most exciting branded businesses in a leading food and drink category - a key player in a multi-billion pund industry, with a portfolio of much-loved brands, the business are looking for a Category Development Manager to support two of their top four grocery customers.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where your insights will directly influence national strategies and drive growth. You'll collaborate with commercial, marketing, and insights teams, becoming the go-to expert for your customers and helping to shape the future of the category.
The Role
Build and maintain trusted relationships with two top grocery retailers
Lead the adaptation of category vision and strategy to align with customer needs
Drive promotional analysis and recommend stop/start/continue activities
Develop bespoke planograms and lead full range reviews (in-store and online)
Deliver Market Insights decks and bi-annual category vision presentations
Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights
Input into Perfect Store reporting, NPD launches, and brand planning days
Collaborate cross-functionally on shopper activation and commercial reviews
What We're Looking For
Solid experience in Category Development, Buying, or Account Management within FMCG
Strong data fluency with tools like Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, or Dunnhumby
Highly analytical and commercially sharp, with excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Confident influencer and presenter with impact at senior customer level
Motivated, accountable, and excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Location: Berkshire - Office based 2-3 days a week
Package: £60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
