A welcoming and well-resourced specialist school in Sunderland is looking to appoint a Specialist SEN Teacher ahead of the new academic year.
The school forms part of a successful trust and supports pupils with Autism, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and additional learning needs through a highly personalised curriculum and therapeutic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs
* Managing a small specialist class
* Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
* Supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs
* Working collaboratively with support staff and families
* Maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status
* Have a passion for SEND education
* Be nurturing, resilient and proactive
* Have experience with differentiated learning strategies
* Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils
This role offers excellent support, ongoing CPD and the potential for a permanent contract following a successful placement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
