Position: Physics Teacher Location: Walsall Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Physics Teaching Role in a Secondary School A well-established secondary school in Walsall is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and ambitious school that values scientific enquiry, analytical thinking, and high-quality teaching. Physics is a highly regarded subject within the school, with students encouraged to develop problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific principles through engaging practical and theoretical learning. About the Role You will teach Physics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ scientific understanding, mathematical application, and analytical thinking. Students will study topics including forces, electricity, energy, waves, motion, space, and particle physics while developing confidence in experimentation, data analysis, and scientific reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, supporting them in building strong subject knowledge, practical skills, and exam confidence. You will work collaboratively within a successful Science department committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Teach Physics across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Physics lessons Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Maintain safe laboratory procedures and environments Contribute to STEM enrichment and departmental development The School Environment This secondary school in Walsall provides a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop confidence in scientific learning.
