ROLE
Position – Production Manager
Hours-, Monday to Friday – 08.00 – 16.00. Business peak demands shifts are used (days and backs) candidates need to be flexible to assist during peak periods etc.
Salary – Circa £30, – £40,
Pension – Employer contribution is up to 3%
Reporting to Managing Director
Reports – 30 indirect production employees. 1* production supervisor, 2* key operators

•Business turnover £2.7m, 3.1m
•35 employees across the business
•Customers – UK retailers – Asda, Lidl, and other discounters such as Poundland. UK airports
•Own label and branded.
•This position would be part of the senior leadership team.
•The company is planning to invest a further £1.6m into new machinery that would encompass 2 automated packing lines and packing/carton line.
CANDIDATE
Key attributes to a candidate’s success in the application are:
Good food industry experience.
Strong people management skills. A lot of the employees have long service and dealing with a new manager will require good soft and hard skills.
Analytical and process-driven skills – they are not using modern business analytics across the board in manufacturing but they are keen to develop and advance. If a candidate can bring experience with OEE and business efficiency growth that would be great.
Managing a wide range of production sku's in a short space.
