About the Role

Join Mott MacDonald as a Quantity Surveyor and contribute to some of the UK’s largest transportation projects across rail, highways, aviation, and maritime. Work on high-profile projects such as Crossrail, HS2, Northern Powerhouse Rail, and national highways, delivering high‑quality solutions focused on sustainability, social value, and technical excellence.


What We Offer

You will have opportunities to work on major transportation projects, collaborating with key clients and industry experts to deliver solutions with a focus on sustainability, social value, and technical excellence.

* Rail – Support major rail infrastructure projects across the UK, including Crossrail, HS2, and Northern Powerhouse Rail.
* Highways – Work closely with National Highways on a variety of projects.
* Ports – Cover aviation and maritime projects with growing opportunities at UK airports and abroad.
* Local Authority – Support a wide range of local authorities on transportation projects covering rail, highways, sustainability, and social value.


Candidate Specification (Required)

* Chartered QS (MRICS) or a Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying subject (or equivalent) working towards chartered status (AssocRICS).
* Proven skills and experience of delivering within a Cost Consultancy or Main Contractor environment.
* Flexibility in work location and travel.
* NEC experience.
* Preferred experience in using CEMAR.


Preferred, but Not Required

* Excellent report writing skills.
* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Effective time management.
* Customer focus.
* Preferred experience in using electronic measurement systems.
