Position Summary

The Payroll Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across assigned employee groups, with an unwavering commitment to confidentiality, precision, and service excellence. This role is based in our Corporate Office and is essential to supporting a seamless payroll experience for our teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for payroll processing and customer service for the Weekly Payroll Group
2. Serve as the primary liaison for all payroll and timekeeping-related questions from staff and management
3. Assist the Payroll Manager and support Semi-Monthly Payroll Group, including audit-related tasks
4. Maintain the accuracy of tax information, Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes, and garnishment data
5. Process off-cycle checks including terminations, bonuses, and adjustment pay
6. Update funding distributions as required
7. Prepare payroll accrual entries for month-end close
8. Prepare bank entries related to payroll transactions
9. Consolidate and reconcile payroll data for financial audits and ad hoc management requests
10. Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax returns and year-end W-2 processing
11. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
Minimum Requirements
12. 3+ years of payroll experience
13. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
14. Experience with large-scale HRIS systems (Workday and/or ADP SmartCompliance preferred)
15. Knowledge of federal labor law and multi-state payroll processing
16. Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
17. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
18. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
19. Strong verbal and written communication skills
20. Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions at the designated work site
