Veterinary Surgeon - WatfordSmall Animal Practice | No OOH | Excellent Facilities
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with 2–3+ years’ experience to join our friendly and supportive team in a well-equipped, independent small animal practice.
About the Role
* Salary up to £70,000 (DOE)
* Small animal only, with some small furries work
* 40-hour week
* 1 in 3 Saturdays (mornings only)
* No out-of-hours shifts
* Closed on Sundays
* One weekday off each week (currently Thursdays)
* A good mix of surgical and medical cases
* Over 80% insured clients, allowing thorough work-ups and high clinical standards
Our Team
You will be joining a supportive and experienced team consisting of:
* 1 Veterinary Surgeons
* 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
* 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
* 1 Full-time Receptionist

Our Facilities
Our premises were purpose-built as a veterinary clinic, designed to support efficient workflows and high standards of patient care rather than being converted from a commercial property.
Facilities include:
* Separate dog and cat waiting areas
* Separate dog and cat hospital wards
* Sterile and non-sterile theatres
* Bespoke dental suite
* Digital full-body X-ray
* Digital dental X-ray
* Doppler flow ultrasound
* Class IV therapeutic laser
* Full in-house laboratory (biochemistry, haematology and urinalysis)
To support patient comfort and safety, our theatre tables are heated, helping to prevent heat loss during anaesthesia and ensuring smoother recoveries for surgical patients.

Location
Our practice is situated within a shopping village close to Watford, offering a pleasant working environment with amenities close by and excellent access to the M25.
