Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Full-time | Monday–Friday | Prestwick – Scotland
At Elite Cooling Services Scotland (ECS), we specialise in delivering high-quality refrigeration and engineering solutions to the FMCG and industrial sectors. We’re looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team—someone who can keep equipment running smoothly, minimise downtime, and make a real impact in fast-paced production environments. This is a varied, hands‑on role offering stability, career development, and the opportunity to work with a close‑knit team across multiple sites and projects.
What you’ll do
* Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical & mechanical faults efficiently.
* Work across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
* Troubleshoot issues including PLC and control systems.
* Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
* Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement projects.
* Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.
What you’ll bring
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated environments.
* Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of PLCs / automation systems (desirable).
* Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability.
* Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to continuous improvement.
