Senior Manager, Customer Marketing Job Description: The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing plays a critical role in driving customer retention, expansion, and migration success across Sage's medium segment Finance and ERP portfolio. This role focuses on planning, delivering, and optimising scalable in-life and migration marketing campaigns that increase customer lifetime value through add-on module adoption and successful migrations. Working at the heart of the organisation, you'll collaborate closely with Account Management, Customer Success, Channel, Sales, and regional Marketing teams to deliver data-led campaigns with measurable commercial impact. You'll also lead a small high-performing team and support regional execution across UKI, APAC, and AME, ensuring alignment with wider marketing strategies and targets. Why Join Us? This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how Sage drives retention, migration, and expansion across its medium Finance and ERP customer base. You'll work on strategically important products, collaborate with senior stakeholders across regions, and lead initiatives that directly influence customer success and revenue growth. If you're passionate about performance marketing, customer lifecycle optimisation, and building scalable campaigns that deliver real commercial value, this role offers the scope, visibility, and challenge to make a meaningful difference. Location - Hybrid, 3 days per week out of our Newcastle or Winnersh office. Key Responsibilities: What Will I Be Doing? You'll own the end-to-end performance marketing strategy for in-life and migration activity across Sage Intacct, Sage 200, and Sage X3. This includes developing demand models and campaign plans aligned to revenue goals, designing multi-touch campaigns across digital, content, social, PR, SEO, paid media, and webinars, and ensuring close alignment with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing Operations. You'll build and execute a single, cohesive customer communications strategy in partnership with Account Management and Customer Success teams, ensuring consistent and effective engagement across the lifecycle. A key part of the role involves developing scalable customer webinar programmes to support add-on module growth, managing and optimising internal referral marketing initiatives, and continuously analysing performance to improve outcomes. You'll track, analyse, and report on KPIs including retention, migration success, and ARR generated from add-on modules, working closely with regional performance marketing leaders to align plans and insights. Alongside this, you'll lead and develop your team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support while operating confidently in a complex, multi-region matrix environment. What We're Looking For. We're looking for an experienced performance marketing leader with a strong background in B2B SaaS, Finance, or ERP environments, and a deep understanding of in-life, retention, and migration marketing. You'll bring proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end, data-driven campaigns that drive adoption, expansion, and ARR growth across long sales cycles and subscription models. You'll have a strong grasp of customer lifecycle and funnel metrics, with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights and continuous improvement. Experience partnering closely with Account Management, Customer Success, and Channel teams is essential, as is confidence owning a single customer communications strategy across regions. You'll be a capable people manager and stakeholder influencer, comfortable leading teams, working cross-functionally, and navigating complex organisational structures. Strong analytical skills, excellent project management, and confidence using marketing and sales technologies such as Salesforce and reporting platforms are key, alongside a clear focus on delivering measurable customer and revenue impact.
