Finance Assistant Full-time | 37.5 hours | Year-round (52 weeks) £25,989 – £27,694 (DOE)

The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, including:
* Managing purchase and sales ledger
* Maintaining accurate financial records
* Supporting credit control processes
* Handling banking and cash transactions
* Completing monthly reconciliations
* Managing petty cash and company card transactions
* Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
You’ll also be involved in broader operational duties:
* Coordinating orders and liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders
* Supporting costings and financial agreements
* Maintaining databases and producing documentation
* Ensuring records are audit-ready
* Communicating effectively across departments
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone organised and proactive.
About You
* Previous finance experience (essential)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexible and proactive approach
Experience within an education or public sector setting is helpful but not essential.
