Hours: 35 hours per week

Shift Pattern Example: In accordance with a rotational roster, you will work over a four-week shift pattern which consists of two weeks day shift and 2 weeks back shifts. Day shift is 6.30 am until 3.30 pm (during week days - 7am until 4 pm office based) Backshift is 3 pm until 11 pm. When not in the office you will work from home.

Shift Pattern consists of –

* Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( Dayshift )
* Week 3 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( Backshift )

Location; Various (if selected for interview you will be asked to list locality preferences)

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work as part of a team who will provide a support service to Home Carers working to support vulnerable people living in the community Council wide. This includes scheduling and allocation of work. There is a requirement use IT, and you should have an interest and understanding of IT programmes.

A number of opportunities exist for people wishing to work in a challenging and rewarding environment.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the Organisation.

Additional increments for working unsocial hours will also apply.

South Lanarkshire Council will provide and fund all required training including induction and ongoing learning and development.

o Describe the differing needs, how you supported these, and how you made the decision in terms of prioritisation
* Provide details of a work situation that has been difficult, describe what your role was, the skills you required to use
o How did you communicate with other people involved?
o In what way did you influence the outcome?
* Provide details of how you would respond to telephone calls where individuals are experiencing a difficulty.
o How would you deal with the call?
o What do you consider is important when managing the situation, to meet the changing priorities or needs of the other person involved.
