Job Description
You’ll provide essential administrative and technical support to help our teams achieve their business targets and secure positive outcomes for people, wildlife and the environment. Guided by your Team Leader, tasks include:
* Managing information systems, interpreting data and preparing basic reports.
* Handling internal and external queries.
* Technical regulatory administration tasks such as arranging interviews and liaising with disclosure officers and lawyers.
* Supporting the response to information requests from customers.
* Maintaining and updating filing systems.
* Processing procurement requests for PPE and incident response equipment.
* Providing administrative support to team leaders and senior officers (e.g., taking minutes).
To succeed you must manage your own time, plan and prioritise work, and effectively manage team expectations. A positive attitude and enthusiasm are essential; previous similar experience is a benefit.
Experience & Skills Required
Essential:
* GCSE Grade 4 / Grade C or above in a science‑related subject (or equivalent).
* Experience working in a team.
* Proven capacity to develop effective working relationships with others.
* Understanding of others’ priorities and ability to support them in achieving goals.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Awareness of handling sensitive information appropriately.
Desirable:
* Previous administrative or secretarial experience.
* Full UK driving licence.

Flexible working arrangements are available. You may be required to travel within the region for meetings or training, and the role may include incident response duties with additional pay. The team is based in Leeds, Rotherham, or York offices.
