About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through a range of media and artistic techniques. You’ll help students explore their creativity, build technical skills, and develop a deeper understanding of visual art and design.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver creative, high-quality Art lessons that motivate and challenge students
* Support students in developing their portfolios, particularly at GCSE level
* Encourage self-expression and critical thinking through a broad curriculum
* Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters artistic growth
* Organise displays, exhibitions, or contributions to school events where students can showcase their work
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider creative life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified teacher with a specialism in Art or a related field
* Have experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS4)
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for visual arts
* Be creative, organised, and committed to delivering inclusive, engaging lessons
* Bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and wider school community
