The Sales Development Representative is responsible for creating the first impression of ADP with potential prospects, acting as a trusted advisor who helps prospective buyers overcome common challenges by uncovering pain points and sharing relevant insights.


Responsibilities

* Encourage prospective buyers to attend in‑person events and webinars.
* Set up and host conference calls with leads to discuss further assistance.
* Establish opportunities to develop prospects toward closed‑won deals.
* Generate new business opportunities across key markets for ADP’s Human Capital Management solutions.
* Research prospect accounts, providing high‑level insights and learning for prospects through conversations with C‑suite contacts, warm lead follow‑up, social media outreach, and marketing collateral.
* Promote ADP’s services, profile and research existing and emerging companies, and identify their business objectives and critical issues.
* Profile and desk‑research the existing database of potential clients, ensuring key details (decision makers, addresses, current suppliers) are identified and account structures mapped.
* Utilize specialist research tools and social media platforms to identify critical business issues within targeted accounts and monitor market trends.
* Build close business relationships with selected accounts to position ADP as a trusted expert during critical business needs.
* Produce a regular flow of qualified, sales‑ready opportunities—not just appointments.
* Collaborate with field sales on local campaigns or one‑off events (e.g., webinars), providing profiling and follow‑up support.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date activity in Salesforce.com.
* Participate in regular one‑on‑ones with the SDR Team Leader to give/receive feedback, monitor performance, and identify training needs.
* Attend company training sessions and team days, taking ownership and responsibility for individual tasks and targets.


Qualifications

* Experienced Telemarketer/SDR or entry‑level candidate wanting to start a career in sales.
* Organized, driven, and flexible with the ability to work well with team members and stakeholders.
* Passion for technology and customer experience.
* Eager to learn and develop through shadowing senior salespeople and attending ADP learning events.

* Enthusiastic and ambitious, with a clear desire to progress in a large organization.

* Strong understanding of the importance of processes and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Comfortable holding business discussions with high‑level executives and familiar with the role of social media in sales.
* Ability to build effective internal relationships with key ADP stakeholders and support colleagues, maintaining calm under pressure to deliver on tight deadlines.
