This is a newly created role within an expanding business, offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to shape and lead the company’s business development and marketing strategy within the refrigeration sector. Role Overview: This pivotal position is focused on driving growth by developing and implementing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aimed at targeting end users in the retail, hospitality, and food production sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for attracting new business, securing projects and service and maintenance contracts, enhancing brand visibility, and establishing strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a proven track record in field sales and marketing who is ready to build and lead a new sales team from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to grow revenue within target sectors. Plan and implement marketing initiatives to generate leads and promote brand awareness. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and leads. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers. Create and implement sales systems and processes to support scalable growth. Secure new project and service and maintenance enquiries. Liaise with the technical team to produce proposals. Negotiate with customers to secure contracts. Recruit, mentor, and manage a new field sales team. Monitor and report on sales and marketing performance against KPIs. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in business development and marketing, ideally within refrigeration or a related engineering industry. Demonstrated success in selling to convenience stores, hospitality, or food production sectors. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans. Experience in planning and delivering marketing campaigns (digital and traditional). Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience in building and leading successful sales teams. Full UK driving licence is essential. Refrigeration industry knowledge would be highly advantageous.
