About the role
Working within the UK Data Management Team, responsible specifically for LH1 Valuation Data, you will work with our Lead Analysts to ensure data updates and delivery of LH1 Valuation Data.
This includes responsibility for and oversight of translating and validating client data, producing CLR-ready Valuation Portfolio data, and generating data analysis and reports for internal clients (Valuation team) regarding valuation portfolio data.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop data transformation scripts to produce Valuation portfolio data.
* Data cleansing, profiling, mapping and mining of Valuation portfolio data.
* Support and deliver multiple ad-hoc reporting needs for internal clients regarding the Valuation portfolio data.
* Support business requirement gathering activities, especially on data and reporting needs related to valuation portfolio data and how they will be utilised in wider process improvements/projects.
* Ensure client data used for Valuation portfolio delivery is stored in a consistent format and in line with treaty arrangements.
* Support processes and tools used in the team for the Valuation portfolio delivery.
* Determine, monitor and report the availability, quality and consistency of client data used in Valuation Portfolio deliveries.
* Liaise with internal clients to understand data content, maximise benefits to the business, and address any weaknesses.
* Gather, understand and document detailed data requirements using appropriate tools and techniques, and ensure these are agreed at all levels throughout the business.

Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Data processing/handling and data analysis skills.
* SQL scripting, R, Python, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel (can perform complex functions).
* High level of numerical and analytical skills.
* Ability to investigate data issues, perform cost-benefit analysis and resolve.
* Remote working setup.
Desirable:
* Understanding of Insurance / Reinsurance Business.
* Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, etc).
Personal Attributes:
* Communicates clearly and effectively, with a solution-focused mindset.
* Ability to take responsibility for delivery of client requirements.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt priorities as needs evolve.
Desired Qualifications and Educational Background
* A Level in Computer Science / Computing / Mathematics / Business Studies (or related subject or relevant equivalent).
* Qualified or working towards a degree/apprenticeship in Computer Science / Data Analysis (or relevant equivalent).
