As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for a technology-driven world. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high-quality computing lessons and support students in developing essential digital, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities of a Computer Studies Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach computing across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, including programming, IT, and digital literacy Encourage students to develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour Support students’ academic and personal development Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field Experience teaching Computer Studies in a school setting is desirable Strong classroom management and communication skills A passion for technology and education Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
