IT Manager, RSR & GSH
*This is a Clustered position for Shangri‑La Rasa Sayang, Penang & Shangri‑La Golden Sands, Penang.
As an IT Manager, RSR & GSH, we rely on you to:
* Responsible for managing day‑to‑day operation and to ensure the smooth functioning of the Information Technology Department.
* Responsible for the entire resort Information Technology system, to implement, maintain and improve the computer system and also to look into ways of increasing productivity through Office Automation.
* Ensure that critical application systems to the hotel, hardware maintenance programs and procedures in case of system interruptions. To attend users INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY related problems both hardware and application systems.
* Ensure that day‑to‑day standard Information Technology operating procedures (including checklist) are implemented properly including new requirements that need to be implemented and / or adhered.
* To plan and continue looking for new ways that may improve some Information Technology related areas and provide feedback / recommendations to the Management.
* Ensures security of data storage and protection, compliance and application for all IT related decisions and activities, in relation to achieving the hotels goals and objectives.
We are looking for someone who:
* Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or other relevant certification.
* Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar capacity in a hotel environment.
* Strong Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge in Opera PMS, Delphi S&C, Win Ac, Check SCM & EAM Infrasys POS, Spa System (CSS) etc, & networking is an advantage.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Understanding of complex information and requirements.
* Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans.
* Effective bi‑lingual in Malay & English.
* Confidence in decision‑making.
* An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.
* Flexible to work hours/off day/ as and when required.
