CAD Designer - Architectural Metalwork If you’re producing drawings that actually get built, not just issued, and you’re frustrated by unclear scopes, late changes, or constant rework, this role should be relevant. This is a CAD Designer position within a specialist architectural metalwork environment, focused on fabrication-ready 3D models rather than concept design. What the role actually involves You’ll be responsible for producing accurate 3D CAD models for architectural metalwork projects, from initial drawings through to fabrication and installation support. Day to day, that means: * Modelling staircases, balustrades, canopies, cladding and bespoke metalwork * Interpreting architectural and structural drawings and turning them into buildable designs * Working closely with project, engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues early * Updating models and drawings as projects develop, with proper version control * Producing outputs that align with fabrication tolerances, standards and site realities You’ll also support production teams with drawing clarifications and technical queries when needed. What’s different here * Design is expected to be fabrication-ready, not theoretical * Accuracy and buildability matter more than drawing volume * You’re working directly with peo...
