We now have exciting permanent opportunities for motivated and suitably qualified Commercial Managers to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England. Join us and contribute to the mega-infrastructure project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
The Role:
The Commercial Manager is responsible for the financial management of projects, negotiating and agreeing contracts, reporting, and providing analysis of projects and programmes using available data from cost, scheduling/planning, and risk management.
Key Duties:
* Leading a commercial team of up to ten people.
* Managing supply chain assistants and supporting procurement during the pre-award phase.
* Managing contracts during the execution phase to maximize performance and minimize risks.
* Handling contract final account agreements (close-out).
* Supporting the Project Manager in contract delivery, ensuring formal completion and recording lessons learned.
* Ensuring contract delivery complies with HPC governance and procedures.
* Administering commercial management tools like CEMAR and SAP.
Qualifications, Professional Accreditations & Experience:
* Degree in Business Studies, Commercial Management, Economics, or related fields.
* Chartered status through recognized bodies such as ICM.
* Experience with NEC3 and FIDIC contracts.
* Experience in procurement, contract performance, risk, change, and claims management.
* Experience in high-hazard industries like Nuclear, Energy, Rail, Oil & Gas, Aviation.
* Experience in major projects (£50m+).
Relevant experience can substitute for formal qualifications if appropriate.
