An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Support Worker within our Early Interventions in Psychosis and Transitions Service (EIP) for a one-year fixed-term contract. We provide a service to people of North East Lincolnshire aged 14 to 35 who may have developed a First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) or be at risk of developing psychosis, known as At Risk Mental State (ARMS). This is an excellent time to join us as we are expanding the team with plans to increase the age range to include all working-age adults.
The EIP Service employs a normalising approach to reduce stigma and distress, and to promote acceptance, tolerance, and recovery. Our goal is to provide hope and facilitate recovery.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate team member to support individuals experiencing psychosis in community settings. The post holder will focus on the social, emotional, practical, and vocational needs of service users, aligning with principles of engagement, social inclusion, and recovery. Responsibilities include working with individuals on their recovery journey, supporting them to maintain health and wellbeing through activities such as outdoor pursuits, physical health promotion, group work, and opportunities in education, employment, and meaningful activities. The role requires participation in weekly team meetings and supervision, demonstrating good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage stressful situations.
