Responsibilities
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships within the nursery community.
* Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences while managing daily classroom activities.
* Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and contribute to the overall management of the nursery.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a classroom effectively, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behaviour among children.
* A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (Group 2).
* Health & Safety certificate.
* First Aid certificate, GCSE or equivalent (required).
Personal Qualities
* Good organizational, record‑keeping, and planning skills.
* Punctuality.
* Excellent communication skills with children, colleagues, advisors, and parents/carers.
* Empathy with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
* Enthusiasm for working with young children.
* Able to work in small teams; completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development – or be working towards completion.
* Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (Group 2).
* Health & Safety certificate.
* First Aid certificate, GCSE or equivalent (required).
Experience
* Nursery: 1 year (required).
* Childcare: 1 year (required).

* Reports to: Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager. We are committed to safeguarding, protecting children, young people and adults. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references. Due to the nature of the work, we will require an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad.
