Case Manager

£19,414 per annum + benefits | The Maltings, Bath | Onsite

Permanent | 18.5 hours per week

We deliver high-quality Tenancy Compliance services that help create safe communities. We take pride in protecting customers and supporting victims. This role plays a key part in upholding tenancy standards and safeguarding residents.

This role sits within the Tenancy Compliance team. It manages cases involving Anti-Social Behaviour, Domestic Abuse, Hate Crime, safeguarding, child protection, and tenancy fraud. The purpose is to prevent and address tenancy breaches through risk assessment, case management, early intervention, and enforcement. The role also involves partnership working and attending court when required.

You will support victims and work with perpetrators to resolve issues. Your work will help sustain tenancies and build safer neighbourhoods.

What you'll be doing

* Deliver proactive pre-tenancy risk assessments and manage complex cases to prevent and address tenancy breaches.

* Assess and manage risk in all cases, implementing appropriate safeguards for victims, staff, and perpetrators.

* Work in partnership with Police, Local Authorities, and safeguarding agencies to align with criminal and child protection proceedings.

* Provide clear, consistent communication and support to victims, witnesses, and partners throughout case management.

* Use early intervention tools including warnings, mediation, conflict resolution, and restorative approaches to prevent escalation.

* Work constructively with perpetrators to address root causes and sustain tenancies wherever possible.

* Prepare and present cases at panels and court, including Injunctions, Possession Proceedings, and other enforcement actions.

* Attend court, meetings, and evidence-gathering activities, including out-of-hours where required.

* Build and maintain effective partnerships through strategy groups, case reviews, and management of support agreements.

* Collaborate across departments to support neighbourhood priorities and represent the organisation at community meetings.

* Lead and contribute to initiatives that reduce Anti-Social Behaviour and tenancy breaches, supporting policy and strategy development.

* Deliver a responsive first-response service to complaints, using action planning and risk assessment to prevent escalation.

* Monitor action plans, ensure compliance, and provide feedback when cases are resolved, including satisfaction follow-up.

* Continuously improve service delivery by acting on customer feedback and quality assurance measures.

* Maintain high standards of professionalism, empathy, confidentiality, and health and safety at all times.

* Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.

* Use a range of enforcement and early intervention tools, including ABCs, Parenting Orders, and mediation services.

* Manage a busy and varied caseload in a structured, organised way, remaining calm under pressure and meeting deadlines.

* Work collaboratively across teams and with external partners to achieve shared outcomes.

* Show initiative, self-motivation, and flexibility in response to changing priorities.

* Build trust with customers and demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.

* Apply creative and solution-focused thinking to resolve complex tenancy issues.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and best practice to ensure legal compliance.

* Manage anti-social behaviour cases effectively, achieving positive and sustainable outcomes.

* Prepare comprehensive case files and confidently present evidence at hearings or court.

* Exercise sound professional judgement and proportionate risk management in decision-making.

* Respond to distressed or vulnerable customers with empathy, professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

* Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to customers as required.
