Job Title: Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker - Fostering Service Location: 31 Chester Street, Wrexham, LL13 8BG Pay Rate: PAYE: £28.70 per hour Limited/Umbrella: £38.43 per hour Work Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days remote, 3 days office-based About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker to join our Fostering Service, a team dedicated to achieving safe, stable, and positive outcomes for children and young people. The Fostering Service plays a vital role in supporting children to thrive within nurturing family environments. Our work spans a wide range of functions, including: Recruitment of foster carers Assessment and approval of carers Training, supervision, and ongoing support We work with a variety of care arrangements, including: Generic Foster Carers Champion Foster Carers Connected Foster Carers Special Guardianship Order (SGO) families Supported Lodgings Hosts "When I'm Ready" Foster Carers Team Structure The service is made up of four dedicated hubs, each with specific roles and responsibilities. As a Social Worker, you will be based within one hub but may also work across others depending on service needs, offering a diverse and engaging workload. Key Responsibilities Undertake comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers Provide supervision, guidance, and ongoing support to approved carers Deliver and contribute to training for foster carers Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records About You We are looking for candidates who: Are qualified Social Workers (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) Are registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible) Have experience in fostering, children's services, or related areas (for experienced level roles) Demonstrate strong assessment and communication skills Are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people Can adapt to working across different service hubs What We Offer Competitive hourly rates Flexible hybrid working (2 days remote, 3 days office-based) A supportive and experienced management team A positive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for ongoing professional development Why Join Bluestones Medical?
