About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality care to clients in their own homes across Solihull. This is a weekend-only position, ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personal care, medication support, and companionship in line with individual care plans
* Promote independence and dignity in every interaction
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team
* Travel between client homes (driving license required)
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in domiciliary or home care
* Must hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle
* Must be comfortable with alcohol consumption in social settings (e.g., accompanying clients to events)—please clarify if this refers to social flexibility or something else

Responsibilities
* Provide personal care assistance to residents or clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
* Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in patient care.
Requirements
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care principles is preferred.
* Certification in first aid is an asset; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
* A valid driving licence is essential for roles requiring transportation of clients.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
