Procurement Manager
Location: Flexible within GTUK - hybrid working

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to elevate our Procurement team within Grant Thornton. Established three years ago, our Procurement function has been growing in influence. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager and the Director of Procurement and Property, you will bring your expertise to shape the function. Current responsibilities include IT/digital, Properties & Facilities Management, Travel, Recruitment, Events, and Marketing, with scope to support all spending as the team expands.
Procurement collaborates with subject matter experts across the firm to improve processes and third-party risk management continually. This role offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge of best practices to drive the future of procurement at the firm. You will work with passionate colleagues committed to our ESG and inclusion & diversity objectives.

Role Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement initiatives on various indirect spend projects, influencing stakeholders to develop effective strategies that ensure value and risk mitigation from responsible suppliers.
* Develop and improve procurement policies and processes, including third-party due diligence and risk management, to partner with quality organizations aligned with our values.
* Enhance procurement visibility and identify opportunities to improve business performance.
* Adapt traditional procurement processes to our entrepreneurial organization, working closely with service line leaders.
* Support our ESG strategy, including SBTi commitments and supplier diversity programs.
* Assist stakeholders and finance teams in achieving business objectives within budget.
* Maintain accurate procurement data, including contracts, spend data, and activity tracking.
Candidate Profile:
To join us as a Procurement Manager, you should have extensive experience in indirect procurement, with the ability to translate best practices into policies and processes. While not every skill is mandatory, the following qualities are desirable:
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Commercially astute, proactive, with proven negotiation experience
* Experience in professional services, partnerships, or financial services preferred
* Knowledge of supplier management, third-party assurance, and risk management
* Experience with ESG & I&D within the supply chain
* Background in Digital & IT procurement, especially software and hardware
