Job Description
I am working with a well-established insights agency that is looking for a Fieldwork Operations Manager to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to projects, leading people, and making sure everything runs exactly as it should behind the scenes.
This role sits at the heart of the operation. You will oversee fieldwork delivery, manage team capacity, and make sure best practice is not only followed but continuously improved. If you are naturally organised, calm under pressure, and confident leading a team, this could be a great next step.
What you will be doing
You will take ownership of the day to day running of fieldwork operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. From briefing teams and coordinating activity to stepping in when challenges arise, you will keep everything moving.
You will lead and support MR Executives and Senior Executives, setting clear expectations, building strong internal relationships, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
The role also involves overseeing a busy research facility. You will manage bookings, maximise capacity, maintain high standards across the space, and act as a key contact for clients using the facility.
* Develop and embed fieldwork best practice across onsite, offsite and qualitative projects
* Oversee product preparation processes and quality standards
* Manage external teams and casual staff, including recruitment, onboarding and training
* Ensure equipment is maintained and booking systems are used effectively
* Monitor participant attendance, quotas and engagement, always looking for ways to improve the experience
* Track business KPIs and report into senior leadership
* Create quotes and proposals for facility projects and support marketing activity
* Promote a collaborative, solutions focused culture across teams
What they are looking for
Someone who is both operational and people focused. You will likely already be working in fieldwork, operations, or research delivery and ready to step into a broader leadership role.
You should be comfortable managing multiple moving parts, confident making decisions, and proactive in spotting opportunities to improve processes.
Strong communication skills are key, as is the ability to build relationships across different departments.
Most importantly, they want someone positive, hands on, and genuinely invested in helping a team succeed.
Why consider it?
You will be joining a business that values partnership, authenticity and fresh thinking. There is plenty of scope to shape how the function operates, introduce new ideas, and make a real impact.
If you enjoy ownership, variety, and working with good people in a supportive environment, it is well worth a conversation.
