Role Overview
Milk Education is delighted to be working with a warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in the L31 area of Liverpool, who are seeking a Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team.
This role is ECT‑friendly and ideal for teachers at the start of their career or those looking to build confidence within a nurturing and well‑structured EYFS environment. You will be supported by an experienced Early Years team, strong leadership, and clear routines that allow you to focus on high‑quality teaching and learning.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils at the very beginning of their educational journey, helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Classroom & School Support
* Friendly, community‑focused primary school
* Experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant working closely alongside you
* Additional SEN support available where required

* Collaborative Early Years team with shared planning and guidance

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
* Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing Reception classroom environment
* Support children’s development across communication and language, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
* Observe, assess, and record pupil progress using EYFS assessment methods
* Differentiate provision to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
* Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are very welcome to apply
* A developing or secure understanding of EYFS and Reception provision
* A nurturing, patient, and child‑centred approach to teaching
* A reflective practitioner open to guidance and professional development
* Confidence to work as part of a team and ask for support when needed
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
