Stress Engineer (T400) – Night Shift
An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stress Engineer to support a major aircraft wing manufacturing facility based in Broughton. You’ll be working as part of an on‑site Plant Engineering team, providing stress analysis support directly aligned to live manufacturing and concession activity.
This role is night shift only and would suit a Stress Engineer with strong aircraft structures experience.
Contract Details
* Location: Broughton – onsite working required
* Work Pattern: Night shift
* Monday to Thursday, 20:45 – 06:00
* 30% night shift uplift applied to hourly rate
* Pay Rate: £46 – £52 per hour Umbrella DOE (PAYE equivalent rates also available)
* Contract Duration: 6 months
* IR35: Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
* Perform static structural analysis on metallic, composite and hybrid aircraft structures
* Analyse and validate structures at component level for static strength and fatigue
* Produce strength margins and reserve factors in line with approved aerospace methods and sizing processes
* Support repair and concession activity, including stress analysis for acceptance and disposition
* Ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures
* Work closely with on‑site engineering and manufacturing teams within a fast‑paced plant environment
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven experience as a Stress Engineer within the aviation or aerospace sector
* Strong background in metallic and composite aircraft structures
* Experience producing stress justifications for repairs and concessions
* Knowledge of certified aircraft structural analysis methods
* Previous T400 approval/signatory highly desirable
* Candidates without current approval but with strong, relevant stress or concessions experience will be considered
