Backend developer (Java/Kotlin) - Up To £800 Per Day - London
I'm currently working with a large fintech firm with a global presence that's embarking on a major modernisation project, rebuilding their Legacy trading system from the ground up. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, focused team delivering a modern, high-performance trading application using cutting-edge tech in a fast-paced Front Office environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Developing scalable Back End services in Java and/or Kotlin
* Building and deploying containerised apps with Kubernetes & Docker
* Working with MongoDB and Databricks for data processing and analytics
* Collaborating on system design and integration with relational databases
* Engaging directly with stakeholders and tech leads in a fast-moving project
Required Experience:
* 2+ years Back End development in Java and/or Kotlin within financial systems
* Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker & MongoDB
* Hands-on with Databricks and exposure to relational DBs
* Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, unit testing, and debugging
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
