What you'll do:
* Responsible for their area shift teams health and safety, environmental, technical, operational, & HR related issues.
* Responsible for their shift teams operational performance, ensuring that output, technical specifications and quality standards are maintained to agreed Production standards as outlined.
* Support in leading the shift team as a Role Model and Change Agent instilling and developing the EREN culture for Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Leading, coaching and mentoring their shift team in Continuous Improvement and 5S methodology and implementation practices.
* Accountable for ensuring their shift team understands, follows and adheres to the performance KPI’s & Continuous Improvement targets in place, are understood, followed and achieved by all.
* Responsible for helping maintenance team in their shift for an effective maintenance process and starting-up the machines and equipment again efficiently after the planned/unplanned maintenance activities.
* Responsible for the main communication with reel warehouse teams for a continuous flow and resolution of the issues until the products arrives to the warehouse.
* Leading their shift team through quality standards ensuring products are delivered on time and to the required customer specification as specified.
* Accountable for the effective shift leadership across their shift, ensuring that the appropriate behaviors aligned to Shotton Mill’s values and culture, are modelled and embedded.
* Accountable for cultivating a dynamic operational environment ensuring that the shift team performs to the highest standards at all times.
* Accountable for the shift and their adherence to company policies and procedures is understood and followed at all times.
What you'll bring:
* Leadership qualification and proven experience of a technical role within paper making or a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Minimum 3 years’ previous experience working as a leader of people within a manufacturing environment or ideally within a containerboard/papermaking business.
* Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and network at all levels.
* Highly motivated, agile, results driven with the ability to problem solve are essential.
* Previous experience/understanding of World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
* Ability to work under pressure, with a logical, systematic manner.
* Leadership skills with a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring a team is essential.
* Experience of working in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment.
