Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)

The Role
We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Glebedale School.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent, or have SEMH needs.
* Work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working standards, ensuring practice aligns with governing and professional bodies.
* Hold a clinical caseload with full support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
Qualifications
* Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree.
* Valid, up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Registered member of RCSLT.
* Minimum of 5 years practising experience as a SaLT in a similar setting with individuals presenting diverse and complex communication profiles.
* Developed specialist knowledge and clinical understanding underpinned by theory and practical experience.
* Experience in multi‑disciplinary working and some responsibility for service and team performance.
* Experience communicating with families, relatives, and carers.
* Experience in writing and delivering training.
* Experience providing clinical supervision.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
* Strong knowledge of core SaLT practice and RCSLT Communication Standards.
* Knowledge of neurodivergence, learning disability, and trauma‑informed practice approaches.
* Understanding of SaLT assessment tools, evidence‑based intervention, and formulation of support plans.
* Awareness of sensory and motor differences impacting communication.
* Understanding of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management.
